First Trip to the Park

Shelby is four weeks old and we made our first journey to the park. We took a lunch and had a picnic and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Caidance cannot wait for Shelby to get big enough to go down the slide with her. Until then, I will just take Shelby with me and we will all slide down together. This is just the first of several trips to the park.

Shelby is here

Well Shelby finally made her arrival on March 28 at 8:25 a.m. She came into this world very fast. I started having a mild stomach cramp at 7:20 that morning and within about 10 minutes the contractions were unbearable. We rushed very quickly to the hospital driving in the turning lane the entire way and rushed into the hospital where a security guard frantically got me a wheel chair and rushed me up to labor and delivery. I did not have time to even put a hospital gown on before I was pushing. I begged for an epidural, but when the nurse told me that there was no time for one, Gared (Bo) and I almost both passed out. Shelby entered this world about 10 minutes later and all the rush of adrenaline finally came to a stop when we held our beautiful 7lb. 11oz. daughter in our arms. All of the pain went away as I finally got to meet this little bundle that I had waited on for so long. Nanny and Papaw were right behind us in the car and by the time they had come up to labor and delivery Nanny saw Shelby in the little cradle being cleaned up, she could not believe that she had already been born. Big sister Caidance could not wait to get her hands on her. She was so excited that Shelby had finally "Popped Out". We are so blessed to have two beautiful daughters. God has been so great to us and we could not ask for anything more. We love our girls.
