Shelby's takes center stage!

Well Shelby has been quite the character I must say. I feel like I can't write everything down fast enough before I forget it. I want to be able to go back one day and show her just how funny she was. I hope that she keeps her funny personality. She has started tiny treasures and I think that she is keeping her teachers in stitches. She was riding to Nanny's the other day and they passed a skunk
Daddy Say's ooo wee Shelby that stinks
Shelby Say's oooh that's a skunk somebody needs to change him.

O.k. so Shelby started potty training on New Years Eve! Yep she decided on her own that, that would be a great time. So this has been going on for awhile now. After lot's of bribing doing flips in the floor for going potty. Telling her that papaw will take her fishing, papaw buying her a fishing pole with "bugs" to go with it and many other things to coax her potty, she tells nanny the other day.
"Nanny I can't go potty, you didn't teach me." oh my goodness really Shelby!!!!

Shelby and Nanny were shopping in Walmart the other day, for shoes of course. Shelby is trying to introduce nanny and herself (which is something that she loves to do) to 2 other men that are also looking for shoes. Shelby says, " hi my name is Shelby and this is my nanny" silence the men don't respond. Shelby Say's " hello can you hear me. She turns to nanny and says, "I guess they don't want to talk."

It's so amazing how you can take Shelby into Panera Bread and she is in her comfort zone, she orders her potato soup and gets her number and plops down beside Nanny and Papaw. This is their lunch routine everyday and boy will she eat good. Well you go to feed her homemade potato soup or soup from somewhere else and she will say, "I no like it."

Another thing that Shelby has started doing is getting out of her bed. Well she got out of bed about 10:00 the other night and came running into our room and say, " Tada Shelby is awake and she has her arms and legs spread way out because she was so proud of herself. So then she crawls up in bed between us and grabs the remote and says, "let's watch Dora." So here we go taking her back to bed and in comes Caidance because my poor little princess could not go to sleep because Shelby had ran into her room. I said well did Shelby go back to bed. Caidance wasn't sure so her and daddy go to put Caidance back into bed and Shelby is hiding around the corner in the dark and comes out and scares them. Shelby say's "arrrrhhhhhh" Yay! I cared you, I cared you!!!! She was so proud of her accomplishment, but about gave Caidance and daddy a heartatache! Yep she is pretty good!

Well I could probably go on and on, but I could also probably write a book on all of the funny things that this girl says. Hope everyone has a Happy Valentines Day next week. I love my family!

My "Boo-T-Queens"

Getting ready to go trick or treating in our new neighborhood, then off to nanny and papaw's for frito pie and more candy!!

Shelby loved digging for coins at papaw's station.

At trunk or treat at Nanny and Papaw's church. They had so much fun going to all of the different "trunk" and playing the games. The girls even won a cake on the cake walk.

My 2 favorite girls love each other so much, well most of the time!

My precious little Boo-T-Queens in front of our new house!

Catching up

The school year has started and I am really far behind so let's get started. Caidance started 1st grade this year and has Mrs. Dockal, whom she adores. She is just growing up right before our eyes. She lost her first tooth a month after school started and she was so excited about that. I never thought that tooth would fall out. She lost her second tooth a couple of weeks after that and I think that one was worse than the first one. She goes until they absolutely just fall out. Caidance really enjoyed swimming and sewing this summer. I was so proud of the little skirt that she made at her sewing class and she has also learned to swim and hold her breath under water and has learned the different safety precautions. Shelby started pre-school and just loves it. Her teacher is Mrs. Valerie Fontenot and she loves going to school. I think that she may be the only child that is still in diapers and carries her paci, but that is how my lil Shell boo rolls. Shelby has such a little mind of her own and she surprises us everyday with her sayings. She now knows her ABC's but if she feels like saying them, she may have a headache that day! LOL she will lay on the floor and say that she can't say them because she has a headache. It has been a family joke now. I see my mom in her alot because of her tender personality. If any of us stump our toe or hurt ourself she will say, "you o.k. honey". If Caidance gives her something she will say, "thank you sweety." You can pretend to cry and Shelby will say, "it's o.k. don't cry" and pat you on the arm. You love to introduce your family to everyone that you meet and when something tastes really yummy, you will say, "this is so tasty, I wuv it." You girls are just so adorable. We have also bought our first home and we are just so thrilled to finally be settled. The girls have so much more room. Nanny made both of the girls quilts in their rooms and both Nanny and I have really enjoyed making crafts to fix up our new house. It was a very long process, but so glad that God has blessed us with our new home. Here are a few pictures to catch up on everything.

Summer 2011

Summer has come and gone and I have not had a chance to blog about all of our things we did this summer! It has been a very eventful summer with lot's of changes both good and bad and lot's of ups and downs, but through it all God has blessed us and we give him all the glory. Well to begin, we have finally found a house and we will be closing on Friday August 19th and we could not be happier! It is only about a mile from our house now, but a lot more room and we can call it our own!!! God has shown me alot of things this summer and opened my eyes to so many things as well. I treasure every second that I have with my family. We had a scare earlier this summer with my dad and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital. I felt like God was really trying to show me the importance of family and to hold them tight every day! I am thankful to God that he is fine and healthy and absolutely nothing wrong with him! My girls are growing up so fast and both Shelby and Caidance just surprise me each day with how smart they are! Shelby talks and talks and talks. She has started saying, "I wuv it!!!" after she takes a bite of her food or she will say, "That's what I am talking about." Shelby loves to play hide and seek, especially with her papa,. She will count to ten and say I coming! or she will say, "1, 2, 5, I coming!" LOL She also likes to hide under the covers and pretend that you cannot see her when you walk into her room. She loves to eat waffles and "ootmal" aka oatmeal! Shelby has nt interest in potty training. I will ask her if she wants to wear big girl panties and she says, "No, wear diaper." Shelby loves to watch Caillou! I am not to fond of the show, but she will watch it over and over. She is now "faking" like she is asleep when she get's in trouble. Yes, that's my lil Shelby. She crawls up in a ball and starts snoring!!! LOL When she goes to gymnastics and I try to get her to participate, she crawls up in a ball and starts snoring. Of course, the other ladies think it's funny, but I don't know what I am going to do with that lil stinker! She is very sensitive and caring! If I act like I am upset, she will pat me and say, no worry mommy, no worry!!
My lil Caidance is growing up so fast and becoming so beautiful and mature. She has took a sewing class this summer and made a beautiful skirt and headband. I was so proud of her! She was even in a cute fashion show and modeled her skirt. Caidance also took swimming lessons this summer and has become a natural at swimming. She is like a little fish. She enjoys teaching her sister new things. Caidance also took ballet and dance this summer, but has told us that she really enjoys sewing and swimming. I told her that she should just always follow her passion and do what she enjoys doing. You are just about to lose your first tooth! It is hanging on by a thread, but you are a little scared to pull it. You told us that you were staying at nanny's house if you lose it. I guess the tooth fairy gives more money at nanny's house! Both girls love to ride the 4-wheeler with their daddy and their papaw, who also bought one this summer! Well I guess that is enough talk from me, I will let the pictures do the rest!

Caidance is 6

Happy birthday to my sweet Caidance. She is now 6 years old. She has made it through her first year of kindergarten and loved every minute of it. She was so excited to be able to share her birthday with her cousins, family and friends that she has made this year! She had her birthday party at the little gym. She has now decided to grow her bangs out and boy does she look more grown up.

Shelby is 2

Her Beautiful Birthday cake!

Well I am about a month late on this post, but Shelby turned 2 on March 28! Yes, I know, I can't believe it either! She is just so full of joy and life and she just cracks us up everyday. Here are just a few pics of our fun day at the Little Gym!

Tiny Dancer

Caidance started taking Gymnastics a few weeks ago and she is just loving it. She is going to the Little Gym and taking 30 minutes of tap and ballet and 30 minutes of Gymnastics. She loves her teacher Mrs. Rebecca and all of her sweet little friends that she has met. It is a really small class so she is really able to get a lot of one on one attention. She is so excited because she has a little dance recital at the end of May and she cannot wait. I am so proud of how well she is doing and she is not afraid to try anything, she just jumps right in!
