Caidance's First Sewing Project

Caidance did such a great job today sewing her little fish pillow. She helped me cut out the pattern and pin it to the fabric. She has talked non stop about her fish pillow and sleeps with it every night. This is just one of her first sewing projects I am sure, but Nanny will probably have to do the next project because a fish pillow is about all I can do.

Shelby found her toes.

Well, I am going to have to get a picture of Shelby, but she has now officially found her little toes and she is so proud of herself. She is also beginning to hold on to her little toys, which Caidance is so happy about, because now she can hand her things. She is now 3 1/2 months old and doing so much better with her reflux. She has slept all night long for an entire week straight. Going to bed at 10:00 and waking up around 7:30 or 8:00. She is still sleeping in her car seat, which I hate to admit, but it is the only thing working right now. We are looking into getting her a nap nanny. If you have never heard of it, it is like a baby recliner for babies with reflux or have trouble sleeping. They are kind of expensive, but I just feel bad her having to sleep in her car seat. She is still taking her Zantac three times a day and it seems to finally be helping. She is so funny sitting in her bumbo chair because she will talk and coo for an hour straight. I think that she is going to be a talker or at least she likes the sounds that she can make.

Big sister is doing great. She is so wonderful with her little sissy. She will be playing and she will look over at me and say, "mommy will you do me a favor and keep an eye on Shelby so that she doesn't fall out of her bumbo seat." I will tell her, "sure, I will keep an eye on her."
The other night she told me that she wanted to give God a kiss so I told her to blow him a kiss to your heart because that is where Jesus lives. She said, "Oh that makes sense because if I try to blow it up to the clouds it will probably run out of batteries before it makes it to Jesus." I thought that was so sweet. Caidance has such a tender heart and just loves everyone. We are having a great summer together and wishing that it would slow down.

Dear Jesus

I have to tell this story because it is too precious not to, but it may me way to much information. Well, it all started when I was "pumping" to make Shelby a bottle since we were about to leave to go eat. Caidance came in the room and sat down beside me and said, "Mommy I am going to pray to Jesus that he will give you more milk for Shelby to be able to eat." Before I knew it she was leaned over with her hands closed praying, "Dear Jesus, please give mommy lot's of milk to feed Shelby." When she opened her eyes, she said, "Oh my goodness Jesus gave you more milk to feed Shelby".  We talked about how when we pray to God that he hears our prayers.
The next day I was playing in the floor with Shelby and Caidance  pretended like she was making her baby a bottle. I thought this was priceless, so I had to post a picture.
