What a month it has been this month. Shelby was put in the hospital two days before we got out for Christmas. She woke up about 12:00 midnight coughing and a little choking. Gared got her all cleaned up and rocked her back to sleep. Within about 10 minutes, she was doing it again. This time we got her out of bed and gave her a breathing treatment to see if that would break up the congestion. Then she started vomiting and choking. We both got really scared because she was starting to turn blue trying to catch her breath. We both rushed her to the emergency room while Nanny came over to take care of Caidance. To make a very long story short, we sat in the emergency room from 2:00a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the next day. Shelby was hooked up to iv's, they had to give her a cathedar, and then make her sit with her arm straight for almost 2 hours. If she moved her arm, the the alarm would go off and the nurse would have to come in and gripe at us and then she would have to reset the machine. It was a nightmare. Not only that, we got a call from Caidance's Tiny Treasure class during all of this and Caidance had busted her tooth on the gym floor and cracked her poor little tooth. We finally got the girls home and two days later Gared and I were vomiting in the bathroom and had the same stomach bug. YUCK!!!! Nanny came over and tried to doctor us and no more than she got home, then she got the bug too!!! I think we are all back to normal now. We got rid of our Christmas tree because I think Shelby was showing an allergy towards it and it was causing her to stay congested. It has been 3 weeks since all of this happened and I think we are all starting to feel better.
On a good night Shelby has achieved quite a bit this month. She started waving bye bye a couple of days after New Years and it is the cutest thing ever!!! She also has learned how to play patty cake. She said Pawpaw on Christmas Day and, of course, that made Papaw's day :) She said momma also this month, but she was crying :( At least she said it and she asked for me quite a few times before I reached down to pick her up. I was really soaking up her saying "momma" :) Caidance is enjoying her day's with her Nanny. She calls them Nanny Days and she talks Nanny into staying up late, watching a movie, eating popcorn, and doing pedicures. She loves when she get's to have an "all night" nanny day.
