Well it all started with having to rope off the stair case because Santa made a trip to Nanny and Papaw's house! The kids could not wait to race up the stairs.
Things that you have been achieving! You have went from saying "no" to everything to answering "shesh",(slight pause), I do". You have now decided that you really enjoy wearing bows. You will push your sissy out of the way if she is getting her hair fixed and you scream, Bow!You love to tease us by saying, "mommies girl" to daddy or "daddy's girl" to me. You love to grab my phone and play games on it and you have gotten pretty good at navigating your way around it. You love to "skype" papaw in Columbia and show him all of your tricks. You love to give kisses and hugs and your favorite t.v. show is Elmo. When the show is over you tell me "mote" aka remote and we have to start it over again. You finally have tubes in your ears and your aednoids out. You got the flu for the first time. Yuck! You love saying, ewwww! Anytime you see something gross. I think you just like to hear yourself say it. You love to sneak into your sissy's room and try to steal gum out of her gumball machine. Your papaw let you start eating mints and you just love them. You have this "thing" with wanting all of the doors shut and then you say, Thank you daddy! The most precious thing that you do is pray or should I say "pay" . After every bite that you take, you want to "pay" and you put your hands together and say, "pay" "pay"! It is just amazing how kissing your boo boos make everything better. You can be screaming your head off because you stumped your toe, but as soon as I kiss it, you are completely fine, You say, "tank you momma"You are just the sweetest!
Wow several months have gone by and this is what Shel boo has learned this month! Nanny, play, "sitty", "bayboo" for Bailey boo, outside, oh and Shelby! She still has those pesky ear infections! She has learned how to do a flip, give kisses, high fives, she does not like bows, shoes, or earrings and she will take them all off :) You weighed 22 lbs at 15 months. Your personality is the funniest that I have ever seen. You make the cutest faces and you love to make people laugh. You are finally getting a little bit of hair, just enough for Nanny to put a tiny pony tail. You have this new noise called your croker and we laugh so hard when you make this noise. At six months, I think I posted about how little your feet were, well now we are having to get special shoes for you because your feet are so wide. Nanny bought you some special shoes for your chunky feet and you look precious in them. You really like things picked up. For example: as soon as Brooke and Boston wake up at Mrs. Sherry's, you put their mats up for them. Also, as soon and I change your diaper, you are very quick to say, "chash" and go put it in the trash! Believe me I am not complaining, keep it up!You are such a blessing to us!
1 Year Old
I cannot believe you are already the big 1. This year has gone by so amazingly fast. I don't even know where to begin. You are now walking and saying, "dada, momma, papaw, this, what's that, sissy, thank you and ball". You are still waking up at least once a night and you sleep till about 8:00 which is nice. You HATE baby food so you are very spoiled and we cook for you so that you do not have to eat that nasty stuff. You love trying to keep up with your sissy and you weighed 20lbs at your dr. visit with of course another ear infection.
11 months
Smiles, giggles, and all of the love. I just can't get enough of you! This month you started giving lot's of love. You will lay your head down on our shoulder and say awww!! You have also have a cutie pie face that is so adorable. I will say, "show me your cutie pie face," and you will squish up your noise and giggle. You now have 6 teeth and they seem to just keep coming. You weigh 18lbs.
Shelby 10 Months
Well Shelby is 10 months and we are finally reflux free!!! She is off of her zantac and doing much better with the reflux. However, still having ear infections. She had an ear infection in both ears this month. She is really wanting to walk. Shelby will hold onto the other kids at Mrs. Sherri's house to get from one side of the room to the other. She is pushing toys all over the place. She is also holding the phone up to her ear and saying, "papaw." She now has 6 teeth and is she loves her gerber biscuits.
Shelby is 9 Months
Stomach bug, 2 ear infections, shots, E.R. visit, Iv's, blood work. My poor baby has had a rough month. On a good note, she has said Pawpaw and momma, and she learned to wave bye bye and play patty cake. She weighs 17 1/2 lbs. She wants to be everywhere you are and she will crawl as fast as she can to be with you. If you get real close to her face she will grab your cheeks and give you a big wet kiss. She does NOT like her bows and she will pull them off every time you put one on her. We are lucky to catch a picture. Oh and this girl LOVES to dance.
Shelby is 8 months
17 pounds and cute as a bug. Shelby just cut her third tooth. I have noticed a pattern now. Shelby get's an ear infection every time she cuts a tooth. She had to go to the urgent care for her third ear infection and it just so happened that she cut her third tooth that day. We think that she might be saying her first word, but not sure if she is just babbling. It sounds like she is saying DaDa. Her daddy is certain that is what she is saying. Shelby is just so full of joy. She laughs and smiles at everything. She is just such a happy baby and growing way to fast.
Shelby is 7 Months
Giggling, laughing, wanting ALL the attention and Crawling ALL OVER is what little Shelby is doing at 7 months. Oh and did I mention she really wants to walk. She can already pull up on the couch and try to stand by herself, but her little tiny feet will just not hold her up. (or it might be her chunky legs)
Shelby is 6 Months
Well Shelby is really showing her personality and it is not the quiet little Shelby that we thought. Shelby is really outspoken and tries her hardest to keep up with her sissy. She wants so badly to crawl. She will just roll until she makes it to where she wants to go. Oh and she has 2 little teeth. She is just a cutie pie. Shelby is finally sleeping in her own room. I know it took six months, but we were so nervous about your reflux. You still wake up about 2 times a night because you are hungry.

Shelby is 5 Months
Shelby is now 5 months old. She weighs 15lbs. She is now sitting up and can roll from her back to front and front to back. She is so cute when she giggles. Big sister is so good at getting her to giggle. We purchases the large swaddler because you cannot sleep without being swaddled, but we then decided that we would try and break you from the swaddle blanket and see how it goes. It took a couple of nights, but you are now swaddle free!
Shelby is 4 Months
She melts my heart everyday with her smile and cuddles. When she starts to giggle, she will nuzzle up to you like she is being shy. It is so cute. She rolled over for the first time this month. She weighs 13lbs 10oz.
Shelby 3 Months
Shelby is now three months old and her reflux is doing so much better. She has now found her toes, started smiling and laughing and holding some of her small toys.
Shelby is 2 Months Old!
Shelby is 2 months old. Wow where does the time go.Shelby weighs 10lbs. 9oz. Poor little baby is also diagnosed with reflux. She is having to take zantac 3 times a day. Hopefully she will grow out of it. To help with your fussiness, we started you on cereal and you LOVE it. We give you a big bowl just before you go to bed and look at those earrings. You got your ears pierced this month.
It's O.K. Shelby
Caidance is trying to get used to her sister in the back seat of the car. If Shelby get's fussy she will tell her "it's o.k. Shelby, don't cry." I was laughing today when she said, "Mommy something is going on back here and I don't know how to make it stop."
I would laugh when Caidance would talk about little Shelby "popping out" Everyday she would rub my belly and ask when Shelby is going to pop out. I happen to catch a picture of her pretending that her baby was about to pop out. She would ask me to put my hand on her belly so that I could feel her baby kick.
You can come out now!!!
O.K. This is the absolute worst picture of me, but I am so ready to have this baby and I just knew that she would already be here. As you can tell I am just about to "pop" as Caidance will tell me. This picture was taken about a week before Shelby arrived.
Once Upon a Time
Caidance cannot wait to be a big sister. One night she went and grabbed a book from her room and read Shelby a story. It was the sweetest thing I had ever seen.
