Do my girl's have to grow up?

I had the most wonderful day with my girl's today and I find myself asking the question, "Can my girl's just stay little forever." Caidance tells me, "mommy you have to let me get big, but I will always love you and be your little girl." Talk about a tear jerker. I cannot believe my Shelby is going to be 2 years old and my Caidance is going to be 6. Wow that is even hard for me to type. Caidance just has the most tender heart and I hope that she will always carry that with her. She is always so worried about her Nanny! That girl just loves her nanny so much. She came into my room the other night and said, "mommy I don't want nanny to ever get old." "Will you promise me that she will never get old so that we can play forever." Every night we have to pray that Caidance will not think about her nanny because when she starts thinking about her, she really, really misses her. I am so glad that she has that bond with her.

Caidance is really enjoying Kindergarten. We are now half way through and I have very mixed emotions about that. Don't get me wrong I cannot wait for summer, BUT Caidance will be a first grader next year!!! I just cannot believe that! She has learned so many things and grown so much this year. She has really come out of her shell and it is not as shy as before, at least that is what I am hearing from alot of other people. She knows all of her sight words, can count to 100, she can read, add, subtract, and she just loves school. On science vocabulary word day, she dressed up as a flower, and on storybook character day, she dressed up as Fancy Nancy. She has made some really special friends this year and has started gymnastics, tap, and ballet. She is really enjoying that! She says that her favorite is gymnastics! She still loves to play dress up- which I hope that stays that way for a long time-she loves polly pockets, and these new really cute dolls called lollypalooza! Yes, it is a weird name, but they are the cutest dolls ever! She loves her DS and Wii. Mario bros is her favorite! Caidance really enjoys being outside and looking for rolly-pollys and ladybugs. She has loved picking flowers since she was 6 months old (thanks to her papaw)! I always ask her who her favorite princess is and "normally" it is Ariel, but she tends to change it! She loves helping her daddy with whatever it is, cleaning out the garage, washing the truck or 4-wheeler, or just holding a dead squirrel!!!LOL I love my little cupcake!

Shelby is just changing everday! She is the most loving little girl I have ever seen. Every time I have to leave or someone else has to leave she said, "hug" and reaches out her arms, and if your lucky, she will give you the sweetest kiss on your cheek :) She is so cute when she sais her name because it sounds like she is saying, "gabby" but she is really saying, "Shelby." She has this "new" noisemaker in her room and everynight she wants you to change the picture that shows on the ceiling. It never fails, if you put the fish on the ceiling, then she wants the birds, then when you change it and start to leave the room, she screams, "moon" "moon" and then giggles as you change it to the moon. She is a mess! At 22 months she started eating with a "poon" as she calls it and she is doing really well with it. Her sissy taught her to say, "awesome" and she sais that pretty clearly. Her new thing now is when you tell her to give you five, she sais, "up high" and then goes around the room for everyone to give her a high 5! She really knows her manners and she says, "tank you" to everyone and most of the time she says, "tank you daddy" even if it is not her daddy. hahahaha Shelby loves playing with her babies and feeding them, in fact, her sissy makes sure every night that she has one in her bed! She also loves shoes, she will walk around with whoever left their shoes out in the floor. I turned around today and she had her sissy's sketchers on that light up. She thought that was the coolest thing ever.
