Gared had to work today so we all decided to go with him since the job was in Galveston. It was such a beautiful day, a little cold, but still beautiful. The girls got to ride on the Ferry for the first time and boy did they have so much fun. Caidance just didn't understand what it meant to get on a big boat with our cars. She thought that it was so neat that we could actually drive our cars on a boat and then get out and walk around. She really wanted to know where the captain of the boat was, so we took her all around. She was fascinated that it had a bathroom. That was the first thing that she told Nanny and Papaw was that she went on a big boat and it had a bathroom. LOL! We took the girls to eat at a seafood restaurant and then a little trip to the beach. The beach was not pretty at all and very muddy, but the girls had to so much fun looking for shells and building very muddy castles. On the way back we got to see a beautiful view of fireworks as we rode the ferry back across. Little did we know that it was Madi Gras, but the traffic was not bad at all. I am glad the girls got to experience their first ferry ride.
