My "Boo-T-Queens"

Getting ready to go trick or treating in our new neighborhood, then off to nanny and papaw's for frito pie and more candy!!

Shelby loved digging for coins at papaw's station.

At trunk or treat at Nanny and Papaw's church. They had so much fun going to all of the different "trunk" and playing the games. The girls even won a cake on the cake walk.

My 2 favorite girls love each other so much, well most of the time!

My precious little Boo-T-Queens in front of our new house!

Catching up

The school year has started and I am really far behind so let's get started. Caidance started 1st grade this year and has Mrs. Dockal, whom she adores. She is just growing up right before our eyes. She lost her first tooth a month after school started and she was so excited about that. I never thought that tooth would fall out. She lost her second tooth a couple of weeks after that and I think that one was worse than the first one. She goes until they absolutely just fall out. Caidance really enjoyed swimming and sewing this summer. I was so proud of the little skirt that she made at her sewing class and she has also learned to swim and hold her breath under water and has learned the different safety precautions. Shelby started pre-school and just loves it. Her teacher is Mrs. Valerie Fontenot and she loves going to school. I think that she may be the only child that is still in diapers and carries her paci, but that is how my lil Shell boo rolls. Shelby has such a little mind of her own and she surprises us everyday with her sayings. She now knows her ABC's but if she feels like saying them, she may have a headache that day! LOL she will lay on the floor and say that she can't say them because she has a headache. It has been a family joke now. I see my mom in her alot because of her tender personality. If any of us stump our toe or hurt ourself she will say, "you o.k. honey". If Caidance gives her something she will say, "thank you sweety." You can pretend to cry and Shelby will say, "it's o.k. don't cry" and pat you on the arm. You love to introduce your family to everyone that you meet and when something tastes really yummy, you will say, "this is so tasty, I wuv it." You girls are just so adorable. We have also bought our first home and we are just so thrilled to finally be settled. The girls have so much more room. Nanny made both of the girls quilts in their rooms and both Nanny and I have really enjoyed making crafts to fix up our new house. It was a very long process, but so glad that God has blessed us with our new home. Here are a few pictures to catch up on everything.

Summer 2011

Summer has come and gone and I have not had a chance to blog about all of our things we did this summer! It has been a very eventful summer with lot's of changes both good and bad and lot's of ups and downs, but through it all God has blessed us and we give him all the glory. Well to begin, we have finally found a house and we will be closing on Friday August 19th and we could not be happier! It is only about a mile from our house now, but a lot more room and we can call it our own!!! God has shown me alot of things this summer and opened my eyes to so many things as well. I treasure every second that I have with my family. We had a scare earlier this summer with my dad and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital. I felt like God was really trying to show me the importance of family and to hold them tight every day! I am thankful to God that he is fine and healthy and absolutely nothing wrong with him! My girls are growing up so fast and both Shelby and Caidance just surprise me each day with how smart they are! Shelby talks and talks and talks. She has started saying, "I wuv it!!!" after she takes a bite of her food or she will say, "That's what I am talking about." Shelby loves to play hide and seek, especially with her papa,. She will count to ten and say I coming! or she will say, "1, 2, 5, I coming!" LOL She also likes to hide under the covers and pretend that you cannot see her when you walk into her room. She loves to eat waffles and "ootmal" aka oatmeal! Shelby has nt interest in potty training. I will ask her if she wants to wear big girl panties and she says, "No, wear diaper." Shelby loves to watch Caillou! I am not to fond of the show, but she will watch it over and over. She is now "faking" like she is asleep when she get's in trouble. Yes, that's my lil Shelby. She crawls up in a ball and starts snoring!!! LOL When she goes to gymnastics and I try to get her to participate, she crawls up in a ball and starts snoring. Of course, the other ladies think it's funny, but I don't know what I am going to do with that lil stinker! She is very sensitive and caring! If I act like I am upset, she will pat me and say, no worry mommy, no worry!!
My lil Caidance is growing up so fast and becoming so beautiful and mature. She has took a sewing class this summer and made a beautiful skirt and headband. I was so proud of her! She was even in a cute fashion show and modeled her skirt. Caidance also took swimming lessons this summer and has become a natural at swimming. She is like a little fish. She enjoys teaching her sister new things. Caidance also took ballet and dance this summer, but has told us that she really enjoys sewing and swimming. I told her that she should just always follow her passion and do what she enjoys doing. You are just about to lose your first tooth! It is hanging on by a thread, but you are a little scared to pull it. You told us that you were staying at nanny's house if you lose it. I guess the tooth fairy gives more money at nanny's house! Both girls love to ride the 4-wheeler with their daddy and their papaw, who also bought one this summer! Well I guess that is enough talk from me, I will let the pictures do the rest!

Caidance is 6

Happy birthday to my sweet Caidance. She is now 6 years old. She has made it through her first year of kindergarten and loved every minute of it. She was so excited to be able to share her birthday with her cousins, family and friends that she has made this year! She had her birthday party at the little gym. She has now decided to grow her bangs out and boy does she look more grown up.

Shelby is 2

Her Beautiful Birthday cake!

Well I am about a month late on this post, but Shelby turned 2 on March 28! Yes, I know, I can't believe it either! She is just so full of joy and life and she just cracks us up everyday. Here are just a few pics of our fun day at the Little Gym!

Tiny Dancer

Caidance started taking Gymnastics a few weeks ago and she is just loving it. She is going to the Little Gym and taking 30 minutes of tap and ballet and 30 minutes of Gymnastics. She loves her teacher Mrs. Rebecca and all of her sweet little friends that she has met. It is a really small class so she is really able to get a lot of one on one attention. She is so excited because she has a little dance recital at the end of May and she cannot wait. I am so proud of how well she is doing and she is not afraid to try anything, she just jumps right in!

What's going on with my lil" Shel Shel

Everyday I thank God for the gift of having two beautiful girls that I love so very much and a husband that takes such good care of us and is so wonderful with his two girls. Shelby is just a few days from turning 2 so I wanted to update what all wonderful things she is achieving.
1. Her favorite shows are Barney, Elmo, and the bubble guppies
2. Favorite Movie "minimini me" or as I call it Despicable Me- She ran up to me today and said, "peas mommy, Mininmini Me" "helpMe"
3. She would like to potty train but this is how she rolls "Mommy need to potty" Me: O.k let's go potty Shelby sits on the potty and then says, "mommy sit" 5 seconds later, "o.k. all done" Mommy: Shelby you need to tee tee in the potty Shelby: "oh o.k." and then she sits on the potty, "O.k all done" Ughhh!!! We will try again this summer
4. She started gymnastics and she loves it. She walks into the little gym and puts her shoes up and she is ready to roll!
5. She got her first haircut on March 10th at Cool Cuts for Kids
6. She had to go back to the ENT because she has been so sick.
7. She is my little house keeper- she always makes sure that she throws her diaper in the "chash" and helps take the laundry out of the dryer and put's the clothes on the couch.
8. She gets embarrassed very easily. She will just sit there and stair at the floor and not move for about 3 minutes and then want you to pick her up. It is the cutest thing, but I feel so sorry for her when she gets embarrassed.
9. It is so funny because we will say, "Sheeeellllbbbyyy" and you will repeat it back to us. I will have to upload a video of it because it is just too cute to put into words!
10. YOu absolutely love your sissy and if you could be everywhere that she is, you would. You are also getting pretty good and doing whatever she tells you to do when you are playing with your toys.
11. She is the most polite little girl. Every time you sneeze she says, "Bess U" and when you say "thank you" She says, "Wecum mommy" and if you don't respond to that she says "Weeecum mommy" LOL
12. When she wants you to notice her or to come look at something she is getting to where she says, "meere" "meere"

Well that is all for now. I will post about Caidance on my next post

Do my girl's have to grow up?

I had the most wonderful day with my girl's today and I find myself asking the question, "Can my girl's just stay little forever." Caidance tells me, "mommy you have to let me get big, but I will always love you and be your little girl." Talk about a tear jerker. I cannot believe my Shelby is going to be 2 years old and my Caidance is going to be 6. Wow that is even hard for me to type. Caidance just has the most tender heart and I hope that she will always carry that with her. She is always so worried about her Nanny! That girl just loves her nanny so much. She came into my room the other night and said, "mommy I don't want nanny to ever get old." "Will you promise me that she will never get old so that we can play forever." Every night we have to pray that Caidance will not think about her nanny because when she starts thinking about her, she really, really misses her. I am so glad that she has that bond with her.

Caidance is really enjoying Kindergarten. We are now half way through and I have very mixed emotions about that. Don't get me wrong I cannot wait for summer, BUT Caidance will be a first grader next year!!! I just cannot believe that! She has learned so many things and grown so much this year. She has really come out of her shell and it is not as shy as before, at least that is what I am hearing from alot of other people. She knows all of her sight words, can count to 100, she can read, add, subtract, and she just loves school. On science vocabulary word day, she dressed up as a flower, and on storybook character day, she dressed up as Fancy Nancy. She has made some really special friends this year and has started gymnastics, tap, and ballet. She is really enjoying that! She says that her favorite is gymnastics! She still loves to play dress up- which I hope that stays that way for a long time-she loves polly pockets, and these new really cute dolls called lollypalooza! Yes, it is a weird name, but they are the cutest dolls ever! She loves her DS and Wii. Mario bros is her favorite! Caidance really enjoys being outside and looking for rolly-pollys and ladybugs. She has loved picking flowers since she was 6 months old (thanks to her papaw)! I always ask her who her favorite princess is and "normally" it is Ariel, but she tends to change it! She loves helping her daddy with whatever it is, cleaning out the garage, washing the truck or 4-wheeler, or just holding a dead squirrel!!!LOL I love my little cupcake!

Shelby is just changing everday! She is the most loving little girl I have ever seen. Every time I have to leave or someone else has to leave she said, "hug" and reaches out her arms, and if your lucky, she will give you the sweetest kiss on your cheek :) She is so cute when she sais her name because it sounds like she is saying, "gabby" but she is really saying, "Shelby." She has this "new" noisemaker in her room and everynight she wants you to change the picture that shows on the ceiling. It never fails, if you put the fish on the ceiling, then she wants the birds, then when you change it and start to leave the room, she screams, "moon" "moon" and then giggles as you change it to the moon. She is a mess! At 22 months she started eating with a "poon" as she calls it and she is doing really well with it. Her sissy taught her to say, "awesome" and she sais that pretty clearly. Her new thing now is when you tell her to give you five, she sais, "up high" and then goes around the room for everyone to give her a high 5! She really knows her manners and she says, "tank you" to everyone and most of the time she says, "tank you daddy" even if it is not her daddy. hahahaha Shelby loves playing with her babies and feeding them, in fact, her sissy makes sure every night that she has one in her bed! She also loves shoes, she will walk around with whoever left their shoes out in the floor. I turned around today and she had her sissy's sketchers on that light up. She thought that was the coolest thing ever.

Conversations by Caidance

This was our conversation before bed time tonight,
Caidance:
"This is how you brush your teeth" "put toothpaste on the toothbrush, brush your teeth by swirling it all around, make sure you get all of your teeth and then spit it out, next you rinse your mouth out with water." "This is how Mrs. Ayala brushes her teeth."

Me: "How do you know that is how Mrs. Ayala brushes her teeth,"

Caidance, "because we have a graphic organizer about it."

LOL I just love all of the big words that they learn in kindergarten.

This was Caidance and her daddy's conversation:

Caidance was listening to the radio in the car and this song came on and Caidance says, "ohhhh this is the song that we listen to when I am doing "fine motor tubs"

Daddy: "fine motor what?"

Caidance: "daddy!!! fine motor tubs! "you don't know what a fine motor tub is?

Daddy: "uhhh nooo!!

Caidance: "Well it is not like a tub that you take a bath in, if that is what you are thinking" "It is a tub to help with your fine motor skills."

Daddy: "oh o.k." "I learned something new today!!!

Just love my little kindergartner! She is learning so much!

Western Day!

YeeeHaaaww!!! It's western day at Sheridan and my little kindergartner is ready! I was so excited to see all the songs that she learned and to see her swing her partner! LOL! She was the cutest little cowgirl!

This was her partner Nicholas! They did such a great job!<

I can't forget my little Shel Boo! Boy did she loved getting out there and dancing. The day before, her sister was so worried that Shelby might "embarrass" her and throw a fit, but she was very surprised to see what a great job that Shelby did!

Daaaaaddddyyyy! Daaddyy! DADDY!

Shelby is laying in her bed tonight saying, "daaaaddddyyyy" daaaddyyy, DADDDY!!! Very short and to the point on the last call for her daddy!!LOL When she realizes that her daddy is not going to go into her room she then persists to say, "oowww" "oowww" "daddy I said owww"! She is just too funny! So her daddy walks into her room, thinking that she hurt herself, and she is sitting up Indian style on her bed with her cup in her hand. Her daddy says, " would you like some more milk or juice?" Shelby puts her finger to her lip (like she is thinking) and then in her cutest little voice she says, "coke peas" LOL!!! I think NOT!!!
